When we are going through a tough season, where disappointment, rejection, and heartbreak are happening in our lives, and it feels that our future suddenly becomes unclear and we don’t know what to do next, it can be so hard to stay positive and to feel that the pain isn’t going to go away. But there is hope, and we have the wonderful promises of God. These promises bring hope, strength, peace, comfort, and love in a difficult season. It will get better. It may take time, but it will definitely get better.
“Rejection—It may be a delay. It may be a distraction. It may even be a devastation for a season but it is not your final destination.” Lysa TerKeurst.
It can be so difficult to understand why we go through tough seasons, and if you are currently going through a tough season, it’s where I am currently at too. It can be painful and unexpected but know that you are not alone in this. Know that God is with you. No season is ever wasted and although right now it can be so hard to see the significance in a tough season, I always find that by trying to dig a little deeper into the things that have happened and are currently happening, I am able to take things from it that have helped me, that I have learned from and to turn those things into positives. For me personally during those tough seasons and the one I am currently going through right now, the one amazing thing that I can take out of them, is that it has brought me closer to God. Let’s go through these promises of God together, and let Him heal our hearts.
“What if disappointment is really the exact appointment your soul needs to radically encounter God?” Lysa TerKeurst.
