Whenever I’m asked which season is my most favourite, I always find it so hard to answer, because there are so many wonderful and amazing things about each of the seasons. But I must admit that as soon as the new year starts, I get very excited about Spring. From the warmer weather to the flowers coming out in bloom and the animals waking up after a long winter to the longer days and shorter nights, I love it all!
And what better way to enjoy Spring than to do some Springtime activities! Here are 5 fun things to do this Spring…

Enjoy Spring With These 5 Fun Things and Activities
Spend time outdoors
If you’re like me, then you probably spend most of your time inside during the winter, trying to keep as warm as possible! As soon as Spring comes around, I try to spend as much time outside as I can. Whether it’s going for a walk or just taking some time out during the day to enjoy all of the wonderful things Spring has to offer and breathing in that fresh Spring air, it really helps me to feel so much more relaxed!
What’s even better is that now that the days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter, it gives us more time to enjoy being outside, especially after a busy day at work. I find it truly wonderful listening to the birds singing and smelling the freshly bloomed flowers. Springtime is a very beautiful time of the year. Trees are sprouting leaves, the cherry blossom trees are filled with blossom and the fields are full of dandelions and tulips.
Plant something green
Which brings me on to my second Springtime activity! Now you may not be really in to gardening, and to be honest, it’s not really something that I would do for fun, but I am very passionate about all things green and I believe that the world should be filled with even more of it. And the best bit is, is that it is such a rewarding activity!
Now my mum and I have had a bit of a different approach when it comes to planting something green in our garden, although we have some pretty bushes in the garden that have already started to bloom, and we have some dandelions and tulips, we have let part of our garden go to the wildlife.
It’s amazing watching all of the wildlife come in to our garden. We have many birds come throughout the day, including goldfinches, long tailed tits, blackbirds, starlings, doves and pigeons and many more. We also have some hedgehogs! I had a sweet little hedgehog outside my bedroom window a couple of nights ago! It was so much fun watching the little fellow scurrying about. A wildlife garden is a great way to attract more wildlife to your garden, and to give them a safe place to stay.
When planting something green in your garden, it can be whatever you want it to be. You can plant lots of different flowers or you could have a wildlife garden! Something I also really want to do at some point is to have my own little vegetable patch in the garden!
“For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.” Song of Solomon 2:11-12

Be a Tourist in Your Own Town
It is absolutely marvellous the things you can discover in your hometown, city ot village! I’ve lived in two towns in the same area in Lincolnshire all my life and even now I’m still discovering new things and new places to visit!
Just by going for a walk or a drive up the road, I’ve discovered lanes that take you to a wonderful wooded area, a nature reserve, tiny museums and so much more. Things that I had no idea even existed near where I live!
By looking online or just by going for a walk or drive, there’s always something new to discover and beautiful places to go to and visit.
I would love to know what amazing things you have discovered in your hometown and the area you live in? Let me know in the comments.
Go to a festival or market.
Whether it’s going to an arts festival, a music festival, a crafts festival or even a food festival or a farmers market, there are lots of different events to go to during the Spring months.
They are the perfect places to go watch local bands play, support local artists and to try new foods. It’s a great way to kick off the season and start spending and enjoying some time outside.
My town currently puts on a Beer Festival during the Spring, filled with live music, fun stalls to go around, different activities to do and then during the evening, everyone can go inside to watch the headlining band perform. It’s a great way to have fun, enjoy being outside in the sun and to catch-up with friends!
Let me know in the comments what festivals and markets you are going to this Spring?

Take lots of spring inspired photos.
As someone who love taking photos, for me personally, I love taking photos in the Spring. It’s a way of capturing nature’s beauty all around us, the start of a new year, new life and new beginnings.
With birds and animals back from migrating and hibernating, it’s the perfect time to get some good photos of them. You could also take photos of the Cherry Blossom trees that are currently out in full bloom, the different types of insects that are attracted to all of the pretty flowers around us. You could also take some photos of the the tulip fields and close up photos of different types of wildflower. The list is endless!
You can also include lots of Springtime vibes in your blog photos. I love adding flowers to my photos. It adds that little extra pop of colour.

In the photos I’ve included in this post, I have added this pretty necklace by Statement Made Jewellery, which is perfect for Spring. This beautiful pendant necklace has inside the clear globe, three hand-picked and dried dandelion seeds.
This necklace is the perfect accessory to add to any outfit for your fun Springtime activities. Get yours here.

Let me know in the comments which of these fun activities you are going to be doing this Spring?
I would love to know what other activities you love to do during the Spring?
“Spring flowers are in blossom all over. The whole world’s a choir – and singing! Spring warblers are filling the forest with sweet arpeggios. Lilacs are exuberantly purple and perfumed, and cherry trees fragrant with blossoms.” Song of Solomon 2:12-13

Some incredible ideas, hun! I know exactly what you mean about trying to keep yourself warm in the winter and then trying to find ways to stay outside! I don’t always find it easy because of my anxiety but I do love walks! I’m planning to do the tourist things around my county this summer so should be fun! xD

These are some really brilliant ideas Clem, I needed some inspiration on how to spend my spring and to be more intentional with my time. I love the idea of planting something in spring time, there is something beautiful about new beginnings in spring especially with Easter coming up. I will definitely be taking inspiration from yours list and make a day of spring activities!

That’s a lovely necklace and some really great suggestions x
I love this necklace! It reminds me of a similar (but not as cool) one that my sister gave me a few years ago. It was kind of a joke about/reminder of all the time we spent picking weeds and dandelions as kids.
I loved this post!
We’ve been out walking more, along canals, in woodlands, going Geocaching. Just being more present outside, and enjoying the fresh air is amazing
Okay, #1: your blog post was AMAZING. As someone who lives in the desert, spring is one of the only reprieves we have right before summer so in my city, we try enjoy the outdoors as much as possible before being indoors all summer long!
and #2: that necklace is GORGEOUS!!! I love it so much! I’ll have to check out that company and see what other jewelry they have <3
