Hello and Welcome
I’m passionate about nature, but I’m also passionate about effective digital marketing. They might seem like chalk and cheese, but I can’t wait to show you a slower and simpler approach to your digital marketing, one which is rooted in the rhythms of nature.
Hello, I’m Clementine, but most people call me Clem, and I’m so happy you’re here. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
I’ve been involved in digital marketing for over 10 years, and in that time, I’ve seen how much the online world has changed. But I’ve also seen in both people and business, a growing desire to return to something slower and simpler. Through my business, Clementine Rose, I want to show people just like you that amidst the hustle and bustle, there is another way, one where you can remain rooted in the changing seasons and the natural world around you.
I live in the beautiful cathedral city of Lichfield with my husband, David, our many musical instruments, and our continually growing collection of books and teddy bears.
“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
- Frances Hodgson Burnett from The Secret Garden.
I have a deep love for the natural world, and I’m passionate about inspiring and encouraging others to reconnect with nature, not only in their work, but also in their day-to-day lives. I believe that there’s so much that we can learn from immersing ourselves in the world around us in a way which roots us firmly in the past, the present and the future.
Authenticity is a huge part of my small business. It weaves and flows through the very foundation and roots of Clementine Rose. I remain true to who I am, what I do, and who I serve, along with my core values, brand identity and purpose. But not only that, I want you to feel that you can be your most authentic self with me too.
I believe that simplicity holds the key to unlocking a more meaningful connection with the world around us, along with intertwining with all that we do. Simplicity helps to remind us what is most important and what truly matters in all aspects of our lives, whilst gently refocusing our mind on the present moment.
Being rooted in my surroundings is important to me, as is having a connection to the past, the present and the future. Most importantly, I enjoy the solid foundation which nature provides, and in all the work I do, I seek to draw on the deep roots it offers.
In a world which glorifies speed and busyness, I like to take time to think, to be mindful of my surroundings, and to proceed slowly at a pace at. which I can stay true to myself.
I love nature for its beauty, wisdom, and vibrant sense of life. Being in nature uplifts me, grounding my awareness in the present, and redirecting my focus to something bigger. It's a welcome escape from screen noise, and the daily hustle and bustle of life, providing a chance to reconnect, re-wild, and to discover and explore new places. Nature sparks creativity, bringing happiness and peace into my life in a simple, yet transformational way.
I strive to gently embrace the essence of slow living in all areas of my life and work. It has become my daily mission to seek and create a life of fulfilment, meaningful moments, and one which is filled with peace and joy along the way.
My slow living journey started back in 2017 after I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Since then, I’ve become more conscious of my health and body, identifying triggers, and reassessing my lifestyle choices. I became aware of how being busy all the time was having a negative impact on my body. Since I was diagnosed, not only have I learnt to be adaptable, but I’ve learnt to be flexible too. I’ve also learnt to appreciate the little things in life, living more mindfully and intentionally.
Another moment when I became aware of the rush of day-to-day life, was after my first holiday on a narrowboat, where the fastest you can travel is a mere 4mph. Upon returning to the ‘real world’ and making a pit-stop on our journey back home, I found myself surrounded by hurried individuals, bustling queues for fast food, and a notable absence of smiles or greetings. I felt so out of place.
I’m a LIncolnshire girl born and bred, and I have a deep love for the countryside. I enjoy going for long walks, discovering new places, going on adventures, getting lost in a captivating book, capturing moments through photography, expressing myself in writing, painting, and journaling in my Bible. Being outdoors, surrounded by nature and God’s magnificent creation, ignites my creative energy.
Music has always held a special place in my heart, right from when I was very little and all through school, and it’s what I studied at college. I graduated with a BA(Hons) in Audio Production from the University of Lincoln in 2017.
After spontaneously deciding that I wanted to play one of the biggest instruments going, I began playing the drums at the age of 15. This led to me playing in a few bands, gigging across the country, recording an album, doing some session playing, and making some amazing memories. Nowadays you’ll occasionally find me playing the drums at church, and also playing the flute and violin.
