Who remembers the Where’s Wally books? I remember having quite a lot of fun trying to find Wally. I seem to vaguely remember the dentist’s waiting room having a copy, which I’m sure distracted us children from having our teeth examined! Well, today’s book review, which I’m sure you’ve already gathered from the title, isn’t a Where’s Wally book, reminds me of the fun (thankfully without a visit to the dentist) I would have had as a child, flicking through the pages trying to find Wally!
Seek and Find: The First Christmas, written by Sarah Parker, illustrated by André Parker, and published by The Good Book Company, is a wonderful, engaging, Christ-centred, educational, and beautifully-illustrated children’s book, packed with over 450 characters and items to find throughout. It’s aimed at helping children to learn about the first Christmas, in an easy-to-read, fun and interactive way. It’s great for parents, or other adults, and children to enjoy together. It’s the latest release in the Seek and Find book series.
“Learn all about the very first Christmas in this action-packed Seek and Find book! There are loads of fun and exciting things to find – from golden angels and twinkly stars to a King in a manger! Each page is loaded with talk-about opportunities as we learn all about the amazing events of the first Christmas.”
Sarah Parker, Seek and Find: The First Christmas.

Even at 32-years-old, I’m enjoying this book! Joining me is Binky Bear and Little Kimble, who very much enjoyed helping me find the characters and items in this book, although I think they were more interested in finding the food items! (You can find more of Binky and friend’s adventures over on their very own Instagram account here.)
The beautiful colours and illustrations on the front are just the beginning, as this book is filled full of colour, eye-catching pictures, and lots to seek and find on each page. I’ve already found Ruth Wren on each of the pages! Anyone else?

As we’re nearing December, Christmas is a very important season in the Christian calendar, and as Christians, an important mission of ours is to spread the Good News of the Gospel. Christmas provides a wonderful opportunity for us to share the message with those around us and with our loved ones. Seek and Find: The First Christmas, provides a great opportunity for young children to learn more about Jesus, and to discover and learn more about His life as they enjoy reading this fun and interactive book. Each page also includes Bible references, so young children can explore the Bible itself, whilst reading and interacting with this book.
This beautiful book comes as a hardback, so it’s very durable, along with thick pages inside, and will surely last for many Christmasses to come. Seek and Find: The First Christmas is available to purchase now, and would make a lovely gift this Christmas. This book would also be great for churches, and for children to interact with whilst at Sunday School, to help them understand the Christmas story in an engaging, creative and interactive way.
You can purchase this book here. You can also find a free download to go along with this book here.

Seek and Find: The First Christmas Activity Book
Included in this review, as you may have already noticed in the pictures, is the accompanying Seek and Find: The First Christmas Activity Book, written once again by Sarah Parker and illustrated by André Parker. It’s a great item to purchase alongside the book.
With over 35 activities to complete, children will love colouring in copies of the pages from the main book itself, and colouring in truths about Jesus and His promises. There are lots of fun activities throughout, and the book offers a great way to spend time reading and interacting with the scripture that is written inside. It’s not only fun, but also educational, as children will explore puzzles, counting activities and mazes, all related to The First Christmas. (Binky bear couldn’t wait to start the Activity Book!)

Again, with beautiful illustrations throughout, children will be able to enjoy colouring their way through, and designing their very own Seek and Find pages. A great companion to have alongside the main book itself.
You can purchase the Seek and Find: The First Christmas activity book here.

This looks like a cool Christmas books for children. But I’m sure adults love it too. Thank you for sharing.
This book looks great for kids to learn about the first Christmas and I imagine it would be fun trying to find all the characters and items. Also, the activity book is a great addition!
