Throughout our lives we have all experienced troubled times, trials, problems that pile up that will not seem to go away, and we find ourselves in situations and circumstances that leave us feeling overwhelmed and exhausted physically and emotionally. And right now so many of us are currently going through this, including myself. It feels that everything around us is caving in on us and there is no way out. But there is hope.
There Is Hope
Hope that will show us the flicker of light, hope that will guide us, hope that will show us the way out, and hope that will bring this devastating storm to pass. The hope that God gives us through His wonderful promises. The hope we experience through God’s everlasting and undying love for us.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus came to the disciples and said “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20.) After Jesus had risen he appeared to the disciples and told them to meet Him in Galilee. There He appeared to them, where the disciples worshipped Him. But some doubted. But Jesus said to them, that He will always be there, and He will always be there until the very end of the age.
No matter what difficulties and troubles we may be going through, we have the sure promise of God that He will always be there for us. His love for us goes deeper than any love for someone can. True love. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
In God’s promises, we are able to find hope and life. We are able to feel peace and comfort. And we will find light in the darkness. As Paul writes in his letter to the church at Philippi, while he was imprisoned in a prison cell, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God is for us. You are so loved. You are forgiven. He will carry you, He will give you rest, He will sustain you, He will wipe your tears, He will help you and he will forever love you and He will never leave you. He will always be with you.
“Be still, and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10.
Below are 15 amazing verses from the Bible about hope. They bring hope and comfort during the midst of a storm. With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26.) When we put our trust in God, amazing and wonderful things happen and that storm that we are going through, it will get so much better.
