When it comes to photos of David and me together, I think they have all just about been selfies that I have awkwardly tried to take with one hand stretched out in front of me, most likely missing out half our head and not quite getting us both together in the photo properly! (Nothing like our engagement photos!) But they are still lovely reminders of special memories and especially our first few times together in person.

I think one thing that we definitely knew we would love to have after getting engaged, was to have an engagement photoshoot. We had previously talked about having some photos taken of us both, as it’s such a lovely and wonderful thing to have to remember those special moments and memories.
We contacted Christina Lynn Creative, as we already knew that we would love Christina to take the photos, especially as she has an engagement shoot package, and David has also previously had a photoshoot done with her. We contacted and booked Christina, and we were so happy and thankful that she was able to book us in so soon after we got engaged and on bank holiday Monday.
I think one thing that I was quite nervous about was if I would look awkward in the photos! But straight away Christina made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. She directed us and made it so much fun. We also chatted and talked about God and wedding plans, which was so wonderful. I decided to wear my floral dress and wedge shoes. (I seem to always trip and fall over in high heels!) We wanted to go for a more smart-casual look.
I think straight away we kind of picked the place that we wanted to have the photoshoot at, we chose Ilam Park, which is National Trust and is in the Peak District. There is so much beautiful scenery there. I think one of my favourite things about having the photos done there, was that there was something different each time in the background. You kind of wouldn’t have guessed it was at the same place. Although a little chilly, (which to be honest I didn’t really notice because I was having so much fun) we had really good weather for the photos. I had only been to Ilam once before with David, but I immediately fell in love with it there.
I love it so much that we have these photos of us together. It’s so lovely to keep looking back at them and to also look back at them in the future. To always remember that special moment to mark our engagement. It’s also been so fun to be able to use the photos of us together on our social media.
I’m so happy that we had an engagement shoot, and I would definitely recommend it if it’s something that you are looking to do too or to just have a photoshoot done in general as a couple. I just get all the happy feelings when I look at them.
Our Engagement Photoshoot

It really truly was such an amazing experience. We also have many more photos that Christina took too, all of which are so wonderful.

These photos are so lovely and I love a good National Trust site.
We had family professional photos done years ago and I still love looking at them. Amazing memories.
The photos are absolutely lovely; so full of the meaning only memory can give each shot. The colors are gorgeous and the layouts eye-catching.
Congratulations on your engagement too!
