Welcome To Clementine Rose

A big hello and a warm welcome to my brand new website, Clementine Rose. I’m so happy that you are here, and I’m very excited to share this new journey and venture with you.

If you’ve been following me on social media, you may have noticed that I recently updated my social media handles, and that I’ve also had beautiful new branding created. It’s been so wonderful over the past few months watching everything come together, and I’ve been very excited to share all of what I have been up to with you.

As you may know, since 2012, I’ve had my blog, Clem Loves. I’ve really loved the journey that Clem Loves has taken me on over the past 10 years. It’s brought me a lot of new experiences, along with some amazing collaborations. It’s brought some wonderful people into my life, and has also helped me create and launch, with God’s help and guidance, what I’m sharing with you today. I’m also so grateful for the very talented people He has blessed me with who’ve played a part in creating this. You can still find all of my blog posts from Clem Loves on the blog section of my website.

If you’re brand new to my social media, or maybe you’ve just discovered my website, or perhaps you’d like to get to know me better, in this blog post I’d like to introduce myself to you, and also share a little bit more about me.

Welcome To Clementine Rose

My name is Clementine, but most people call me Clem. I’m a Christian, I’m 32 and live in the beautiful Cathedral City of Lichfield in the UK with my husband, David. We got married in March this year. We’ve written quite a few wedding posts sharing all our wedding planning, tips and advice, which you can find in the blog section.

I’m a Lincolnshire girl born and bred. My husband and I are also the proud owners of Narrowboat Dylan, which you can find out more about on social media and on my blog. I love writing and photography. I also love painting, music, cruising on the water, and going for long walks amongst nature and God’s beautiful creation.

Welcome To Clementine Rose

I’m a content specialist inspiring, encouraging and equipping Christian churches, communities, businesses and individuals with the confidence to develop and utilise an effective online and digital presence as a tool for outreach and mission. More of which you can find out about by exploring my site.

I’ve always loved expressing myself creatively. When I was a lot younger, I loved creating website pages. I taught myself a little html, and would spend hours on my laptop creating websites and pages with different layouts on and dollz (who remembers them?!) The most memorable websites at the time that I created were called Chocolate Hamster (which was probably named after my love of chocolate and hamsters), and Cool Girls Today (where I think I mainly posted lyrics that I had written).

You’d most likely find me in my bedroom singing through my karaoke machine as a kid and writing songs! I still believe that one of my songs, which I can still vividly remember today, would have been a hit! It went “we’re cat crazy, we’re cat mad, we love cats and that’s a fact.” See, definitely a number one hit right there! Plus, nothing has really changed there! This eventually led me to creating my very first blog and in 2012 creating Clem Loves

Around 2012 was the time when more and more people were discovering and creating blogs. A lot has changed since 2012 in the blogging world and community, but it’s been an amazing experience to watch how blogging has evolved over the years.

Did you know that I have a monthly newsletter called Little Notes of Light?
Little Notes of Light will bring inspiration, reflection and encouragement straight to your inbox each month. To subscribe, scroll down to the bottom of this page, or you can sign up by clicking here.

I’m a huge music lover. After finishing school, I studied Performing Arts for a year, then to study Music at college leading to a HND in Music. I then went to the University of Lincoln to study Audio Production in 2014, and graduated in 2017.

In my late teens and my 20s, I’ve been in a few different bands. When I was very young, I learned to play the piano and flute, and then at the age of 15 I just wanted to learn to play something completely different, and decided to start having drum lessons. I’ve played the drums for over 16 years. I’ve done gigs around Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. I’ve also played in London, Bedford and Derby. We also won a couple of Lincolnshire ‘Battle of the Bands’.

Music has definitely played a huge part in my life over the years, and as my husband is a piano, flute and singing teacher, and a composer, it’s wonderful that we can share our love for music together. Plus, our musical instrument collection slowly keeps growing!

As you may have already noticed, I’m a Chrisitan. I’m still yet to write a full testimony over on my blog, but I’m sure it’s something that I will do very soon. My faith is something that is incredibly important to me. My faith and God’s Word is the foundation on which I live my life. I love creating Christian content, and keeping faith and mission at the heart of all that I do. You can find lots of Christian content over on the blog.

My husband and I go to Lichfield Methodist Church. Over the years I’ve done a little, I suppose you could say ‘church hopping’. I’ve worshipped at Church of England churches, Baptist churches, the Methodist Church and Pentecostal churches, all of which I have loved.

On the blog, along with Christian and lifestyle-themed posts, you’ll also find blog posts about chronic illness. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, also known as an Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I love to share posts to help and encourage, to share my own personal experience of having Crohn’s Disease, and offer my own tips and advice.

I know just how difficult it can be, especially when you have just been newly diagnosed. You can find and read about my diagnosis, the things that help me during a flare-up, wedding tips for when you have Crohn’s, my Crohn’s journey 4 years on, and 5 things Crohn’s Disease has taught me, plus more.

When I’m not writing, taking photographs or doing anything else website and blog-related, you may find me doing some of my favourite things such as, reading a book, Bible journaling, listening to worship music, painting, watching one of my favourite shows called The Chosen, going for long walks, exploring new places, having a picnic, and occasionally you may find me playing Animal Crossing or Pokemon on my Nintendo Switch (I’ve been a huge Pokemon fan since the 90’s!) I also have a secret fondness for fungi, as you may notice if you follow me on Instagram!

I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know me better. I’d love to get to know you too. Please feel free to leave a comment below telling me 3 fun facts about yourself. You can also get in touch with me on my contact page and on social media.

I would love for you to subscribe to my mailing list. My monthly newsletter Little Notes of Light, will bring you Inspiration, reflection and encouragement straight to your inbox. It’s also a great way to keep in touch and keep up-to-date with my latest blog posts.

If you have enjoyed this post and any of my other content, you can support my work and future content by buying me a virtual coffee. For as little as £2, this helps to support all that I do, and so I can keep creating content on my website, social media channels, newsletter and more. Your support means so much to me.

      1. Hi, thank you so much for your comment. It’s lovely to meet you on here, and yes, it’s always wonderful to meet another Christian blogger. I’ve just visited your site, and I’m really enjoying your posts, the recipes look delicious.

  1. I love hearing about fellow content professionals that have found “their niche”. It’s such a fulfilling feeling, isn’t it? Knowing that you can use your gifts to help make a difference in the lives of others. I have very much felt that way since I discovered the pet niche and shifted my business to specifically focus on helping rescues, pet owners, and small pet businesses.

  2. Lovely blog and such interesting info. Your life sounds great fun tbh. And a drummer too. I visited Lincoln a few months ago, it’s one of my favourite cities, I love Brayford water and the steep hill to the cathedral.
